What Chip Architecture Changes About Distribution
Some brands pack two wavelengths into one diode and switch between presets. It sounds like an upgrade. It isn't a power upgrade, because a panel's strength comes from the LEDs and how hard they're driven, not from how the wavelengths are packaged.
The cost shows up in the mix. Split a diode evenly between two wavelengths and the bands your body absorbs slowly come up short. The ones it takes in fast get more than they need. Panels built that way also tend to run fewer bands at a time.
