2014 / 2015

The First High-Power Human Therapy Panels

PlatinumLED moved its high-output LED platform from horticulture into human therapy, becoming the first company to publicly market high-power red and near-infrared panels engineered specifically for human use. The shift helped define what a serious therapy panel could look like.

2019

The R+|NIR+ Multi-Wave Spectrum

PlatinumLED introduced the R+|NIR+ multi-wave spectrum, originally using five targeted red and near-infrared bands in a calibrated ratio. At a point when most panels still ran two wavelengths, broader spectrum coverage became the new reference point.

2020

FDA Class II Medical Device Status

PlatinumLED achieved FDA Class II medical device status, moving its panels into a regulatory class that few wellness devices ever reach. Clinical buyers now had formal registration behind the performance claims.

2021

The Total Control System

The Total Control System brought OLED touchscreen control to PlatinumLED panels, with adjustable time, output, remote control, and multi-panel coordination. Users moved from basic on-off operation to full session-level control.

2022

The Six-Wavelength Spectrum

The R+|NIR+ spectrum expanded to six wavelengths of light alongside continued gains in LED power. Spectral coverage moved further ahead of a category still catching up to five.

2023

The 7-Wave Spectrum with 1060nm

The R+|NIR+ spectrum expanded to seven therapeutic wavelengths, adding 1060nm deep near-infrared alongside the existing bands. Deeper-tissue coverage became part of the standard PlatinumLED platform.

2024

Voice Recognition Control

PlatinumLED added voice-recognition control to BIOMAX panels, enabling fully hands-free session management for home users and clinics. Running a session no longer requires touching the device.

2025

BIOMAX PRO: Zero-Gap Design and Advanced Cooling

BIOMAX PRO introduced zero-gap modular construction for seamless full-body coverage, higher sustained output, and a redesigned internal cooling architecture built to support that power. It's the largest structural advancement we've brought to a therapy panel.
